What inspired you to write the lyrics/music for "ACTIVE!?"

Active was written at a time where we had lost a lot of meaning in our lives. Turning to a life of partying, overdrinking and grasping at what would be the rock and roll lifestyle, this song almost takes a self-judgement of what we were doing. This (and the next *hint hint*) song both revolve around the turmoil navigating the highs and lows of the human experience.

How did you work with the producer or engineers to bring your vision for this song to life?

We are so very lucky that our mix engineer is one of our closest friends and he just happens to be great at what he does! Matt at Fifths Studio just lets us run free with creativity and allows us to try anything (even if he doesn’t think it’s a good idea sometimes).

What impact do you hope this song will have on your audience?

We hope that this song can be screamed at by fans at the top of their lungs for years to come, when you’re feeling down all you need is a good 330cc’s of “ACTIVE!” And you’ll feel great again, almost like a weird version of therapy.

Can you tell us more about you as a band?

As a band, all 3 members have played in previous projects, some of which have spanned across the nation and Europe. Coming together we knew this was gonna be our favourite group yet as we are all best mates - like really, we play music together, we go out together and love every second of it, we all share a love for a wide range of music and it’s so rare to have that almost cathartic bond with the people that you’re playing with.

How do you continuously grow and evolve as a band?

Honestly, take each day as it comes, not every idea you have is gonna be number 1. But we constantly write in search of a new earworm that scratches that itch we so crave. We focus on the long term as well as the short and know that one day we want to be headlining arenas and festivals. Everyone is committed to pushing forward and happy to compromise for the benefit of the music we want to write.
