5 Q&A With Stories Forever Weddings

How does 'Play This at the Wedding' reflect your growth as a duo?

‘Play This at the Wedding’ is a celebration of how far we've come—not just as a creative duo, but as a couple who fell in love through storytelling. It marks the merging of our visual and musical worlds: Charles as a music producer and filmmaker, and Samantha as a photographer and creative lead. This album shows our evolution from documenting love stories to actually composing the soundtrack for them. It reflects the harmony we’ve found in our work and relationship.

Can you describe the emotions or feelings you hope this album evokes in listeners?

We hope it makes people feel everything. Joy, nostalgia, connection, excitement—that flutter in your chest when you're in love or about to walk down the aisle. It’s designed to play like a wedding day in song form—from the anticipation of getting ready to the emotional walk down the aisle and the party that follows. Whether you’re getting married or reminiscing on a beautiful moment, we want the music to bring it all back.

Which song(s) do you like the best and why?

Charles: “Right Now Forever” hits different—it’s got a cinematic, emotional build that feels like a perfect wedding moment.

Samantha: “Married Tonight” is my favorite. It’s upbeat, full of energy, and feels like the dance floor just opened up. It’s fun and romantic—exactly what I’d want at my own wedding.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in music?

Charles: I’ve been producing music for over a decade under the name Charlee Beatz. What started in my bedroom studio evolved into producing mixtapes, cinematic scores, and now wedding music. I’ve always loved creating emotional, visual stories—music was the natural way to channel that.

Samantha: I’ve always had a deep love for photography and visual storytelling. When we met working a wedding together—me as the photographer, him as the videographer—it sparked not just a relationship, but the idea that we could create something powerful together. Stories Forever Weddings was born from that synergy.

Where do you find inspiration for your songs or musical ideas?

From real wedding moments. The speeches, the quiet glances, the wild receptions—it’s all fuel. We draw a lot from the couples we work with and the authentic emotions we witness on their big days. We also pull inspiration from classic wedding songs, cinematic music scores, and modern pop to create a blend that feels timeless but current.
