London, UK – 29.08.2025— London-based band Apeth announce the release of their debut single Fire Sale, a ferocious introduction that collides sludge-soaked riffs, punishing rhythms, and unsettling atmospherics. Apeth are a UK and Japan-based band blending heavy, abrasive sonics with stark melody and atmosphere. Formed by Teddy Powell and Harry Purser, Miho Sato and Kenji Asakura, the project draws from sludge, post-metal, and experimental punk, carving songs that feel both raw and cinematic. Their work pairs punishing riffs and guttural textures with narrative-driven visuals, placing them at the crossroads of underground metal and avant-garde art.
“Apeth is about harnessing intensity without losing storytelling,” says Powell. “Fire Sale is the sound of collapse, but also transformation. It’s the daftness of politics we’re interested in”.
