Inez Leon Releases ‘Del Alhelí’

Mexican Korean composer, guitarist, and producer, Inez Leon released her EP, Del Alhelí, on April 18th via Muse Tones. Anticipatory singles included “Dios A Ella” and “Tan Lejos.”

Del Alhelí is a project born from the Los Angeles native’s year spent living in Mexico from summer ‘23 to summer ‘24. This journey of cultural reconnection and self discovery after the end of a years long relationship served as a time for healing and in turn led Inez to start translating her feelings into songs in Spanish. She worked with two incredibly talented guitarists/composers Pablo Langaine and Eric Barrita. Soon, what was only a spark of inspiration and a desire to become more fluent in Spanish via songwriting became Inez’s most highly produced yet authentic work to date. Del Alhelí is the name of the street Inez lived on while spending her last six months of her year abroad in Oaxaca De Juarez. The EP serves as a love letter to Mexico and the inner transformation her ancestral home brought her.

Inez is a classical guitarist of over 15 years, a producer of over 10 years, and a singer since before she can remember. She graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles with a BA in Music Production and has been applying to masters programs for film composition. Her works often highlight her guitar background infused with influences of alternative R&B and acoustic rock.
