Bartender by day, artist by night. TAMS/N is a trailblazing force.
Melbourne artist TAMS/N OTWAY is making a name for herself as one of pop’s most fearless new storytellers. Her latest single “Wallow” isn’t just another pop song, it’s a visceral anthem born from isolation, trauma, and the fight for freedom. Inspired by a bird pecking at her window during lockdown, the track transforms that tiny, defiant moment into a soaring metaphor for liberation.
Written and produced in her bedroom, “Wallow” shows TAMS/N as more than a performer she’s a true auteur. Layered with chopped-up bird sounds, synths, and a cathartic saxophone solo, the song blends theatrical pop with raw vulnerability, landing somewhere between Chappell Roan, Lana Del Rey, and 80s power ballads.
“Wallow” is not just a song, but a declaration: that pop can still be powerful, cinematic, and deeply human.
TAMS/N grew up watching her single father juggle a 9–5 job by day and play music in RSL clubs and pubs by night. That quiet dedication lit a spark in her, not just to make music, but to live it. Regardless of money or success, music was a passion and a legacy passed down.
