Trickshooter Social Club Releases ‘Truck Stop Dangerous’

On their new EP ‘Truck Stop Dangerous’ Trickshooter Social Club travel through iconic American landscapes with their gritty guitars and bar room fiddles, telling stories about fictions and legends, the birth place of the blues, Elvis and proletariat poetry.

Trick Shooter Social Club is a full-on, lean-in, roots-rock band from Chicago whose celebration of stomp and clap American rock-n-roll is oddly literate, a little whiskey soaked and world weary – always leaving room for redemption. Their musical mosaic of roots, alt. country and blues is the sound of garage rock with a conscience.

Trick Shooter Social Club is led by guitarist Larry Liss and frontman Steve Simoncic who drifted together after years of playing in bands around Chicago. Late night sessions in a recording studio in the smell of the studio owner’s girlfriend making tacos and the sound of their nightly meth-induced shouting matches inspired Larry and Steve, who write all Trick Shooter songs, to develop a storyline of edgy americana, to which The Social Club brings additional musical flavour.

Trick Shooter Social Club have played with several national touring acts including Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame members Peggy Young and the Survivors (featuring Spooner Oldham). Their tours have taken them across the continent from Steppenwolf Theatre Chicago to Pianos NYC and the Whiskey a Go-Go in LA. Proud regulars at the House of Blues Chicago, Club Metro and Lincoln Hall, the band have gained solid support from Nick Digulio on WGN Radio as well as a host of music blogs.
