Zoe Bayani Releases “Lamb”

Atlanta-based indie rocker Zoe Bayani returns with “Lamb”—a dark, brooding single blending post-grunge grit with dreamy, emotional intensity. Inspired by the “Adoration of the Lamb” panel from the medieval Ghent Altarpiece, Bayani reimagines the sacrificial lamb as a symbol of unrequited devotion. With a voice drenched in vulnerability and lyrics that cut deep, she channels the emotional weight of loving someone too hard, too much, and too openly.

Produced by Tomas Uribe (Soccer Mommy, Bad Suns, The Strumbellas) and engineered at Maze Studios—a space known for iconic releases from Animal Collective, M.I.A., Belle and Sebastian, and more—“Lamb” captures a heavy, unsettling soundscape. Zoe’s bandmates Santi Cabeza (lead guitar), Colton Clements (drums), and James Kopp (bass) crafted their own parts, building an atmosphere that mirrors the song’s intense subject matter. Mastering was handled by Joe Lambert, who recently worked on Faye Webster’s “I Know I’m Funny Haha.”

“I made myself completely vulnerable writing this song, in order to make it reminiscent of a time in my life where I felt completely vulnerable to the person it’s about,” says Bayani. “I’m sick of feeling like I’m too much, and I think it’s beautiful to love hard. I can’t paint my emotions onto the walls of a cathedral, so I figured putting them into this dramatic ballad would be the next best thing.”

“Lamb” is a romantic yet eerie anthem for anyone who’s ever felt the ache of loving without limits. It’s the kind of song that belongs in your car after seeing your crush—or on repeat when your heart breaks a little too loud.
