July 11, 2025 - Indie singer-songwriter Eva James is done tiptoeing around commitment-phobes. Far from standard heartbreak fare, the track’s emotional transparency taps into today’s candid conversations around mental health, toxic relationships, and self-worth. “I wrote it the day I was fed up with trading my self esteem for mixed signals,” says Eva. “If this song fuels one person’s exit from a dead-end situation, mission accomplished.”
Hailed by Guitar Girl Magazine as “unquestionably one of the most captivating new voices in contemporary dark pop ,” Eva James blends the poetic grace of Joni Mitchell with the grit of Grace Potter. In 2023, she won the Gloucester 400th Anniversary Singer-Songwriter Challenge and headed to New York to record her debut LP Earth to Eva with Paula Cole.
