Maggot House Announces New Punk Album ‘Blank Tapes & Nuclear Waste’ – Out August 29, 2025

Brooklyn, NY [Aug 17, 2025] – Get ready for impact! Raw, reckless, and ready for the meltdown, Maggot House returns with a brand-new punk record, Blank Tapes & Nuclear Waste, dropping August 29, 2025.

Fueled by whiskey, horror movies, and a deep devotion to old school punk, this DIY Brooklyn punk project led by musician Broose Young spits out eight slimy tracks, oozing garage-punk and synth-fuzz.

Maggot House delivers a record with eight plutonium-packed tracks that are unapologetically lowbrow. The release features already-radioactive singles “Can’t SK8” and “TOXIE!”, alongside six new tracks drenched in fuzz, synth, and fallout.

Expect songs about the golden age of wrestling (Top Rope), slime-soaked cult horror films and the unabashedly gross b-film (Slime City), the grimy pulse of 80s skate punk (Can't SK8), and the eternal sneer at the broken promises of the future (Everything is Trash).

Tracklist – 'Blank Tapes & Nuclear Waste'

  1. “Everything is Trash” – A sneering anthem mocking broken Jetsons dreams, trading flying cars for mutant rats & acid rain – and the radioactive future we got instead.

  2. “I’m The Boss” – A short, sharp jab at working for “the man.”

  3. “Can’t SK8” – A bratty 80s-inspired skate punk anthem, channeling Thrashin’, Gleaming the Cube, and the snotty SoCal sound.

  4. “Bottom Shelf / Top Rope” – From blackout drinking anthems to body slams, this two-parter dives into the grit of bar life and the glory of 80s wrestling.

  5. “Blank Tapes” – A fuzzy-synth tribute to the mixtape culture of the ‘80s and ‘90s, when discovering new bands meant hitting record at the right second.

  6. “TOXIE! (Album Version)” – An ode to everyone’s favorite radioactive monster hero, featuring Robert Prichard (Slug from The Toxic Avenger) and Slob Hodges (Slobs) on backing vocals.

  7. “Coney Island Creep” – A scummy ode to the weirdos and creeps that haunt Brooklyn’s beachside boardwalk.

  8. “Slime City” – A minimalist, synth-driven dance-punk horror track, inspired by the gross-out cult classic Slime City.

With fuzzy guitar, a cheap busted-up synth, and snotty vocals, Blank Tapes & Nuclear Waste is disgusting and fun as hell.

Whether you’re into skateboarding, hardcore punk, horror punk, or DIY underground music, Maggot House brings a soundtrack to the post-apocalyptic party. This record is tailor-made for punk playlists, skate videos, and late-night basement shows.

Blank Tapes & Nuclear Waste by Maggot House will be available August 29, 2025, on all streaming platforms.
