Punk Head Present: HOVERCRAFT, KASA BEATS, Lyndo Jaco, And Aleksandr Podkhaliuzin
We’re haunted in all sorts of ways. From lost memories to a missing friend, the minds never stop searching for answers. Rather than ghosts being resurrected, these artists are at the forefront of innovation where technology meets music. The past joins the present to co-create the future. The creation of AI further brings forth a whole new level of possibilities. Controversial or not, we’re stepping into a new age. At the same time, there’s that yearning for something purely unfiltered and chaotic.
In this edition, we touch on technology, legacy, and raw human emotions, featuring HOVERCRAFT, KASA BEATS, Lyndo Jaco, and Aleksandr Podkhaliuzin.
HOVERCRAFT - ‘Shaken Not Stirred’
Inspired by their long-lost band member Piers "Charlie Pepper" Wildman’s love for James Bond movies, the neo-soul and R&B album Shaken Not Stirred resurrects the band’s lost catalog from the ‘90s using AI technology and the original 1996 cassette tapes recordings.
Shaken Not Stirred sounds like something that falls into our world through a crack in time. It’s haunting, retro, and yet, not overly nostlagic. It feels like an album that doesn’t belong in this century, or perhaps it’s just ahead of its time. Hovercraft’s 2025 album is elegant and sensitive, passionate but melancholy. A hidden gem that’s haunting and powerful.
With every melody that touches souls and lyrics that shake something inside your body, Shaken Not Stirred continues the search for Pepper, who disappeared after a spiritual trip to Inida, while bringing the community tighter together through the love for music.
KASA BEATS - ‘FOREVER’
FOREVER is unapologetic and infectious. It’s the kind of album that defines the vibe of the venue. KASA BEATS’s fierce energy is almost palpable through the beats and dark techno atmospheres. Infused with echoing whispers and irresistible beats, this is an album that takes listeners to places that they don’t dare to go alone.
Perfect for the fall season, the dark techno album easily stands out in a pool of dancefloor cliches. The electro-fused soundscapes bring listeners something they have never experienced, where the beats vibrate through your body and transcend your movements.
The Austrian producer is known for his rave techno music with a philosophical edge. Inspired by Mexico’s vibrant Dia de los Muertos celebration, FOREVER celebrates his deep techno roots while bringing something sensational and wicked to the dance floor.
Lyndo Jaco - “What ya hiding”
“What ya hiding” has the sound of Bob Dylan meets old school pub rock — raw, unapologetic, and authentic. It’s spiritually free and aesthetically honest. Hailing from Happy Valley in South Australia, Lyndo Jaco is a rock recluse. While he may not be a man of many words, there are rich feelings in his music.
“What ya hiding” about the secrets that are kept from the rest of the world. With lean guitar licks that paint a whole vibe without fancy tricks and a vocal that simply doesn’t give a shit, “What ya hiding” feels like the perfect soundtrack for your next road trip.
Aleksandr Podkhaliuzin/彭俐客 - “Falling (沉沦)”
The creation of AI technology has brought many impossible projects to life. Combining his classical music experience and his skills as a mathematician and software engineer, Lithuania-based Aleksandr Podkhaliuzin released his first C-pop track, “Falling (沉沦)” under his Chinese artist personality, 彭俐客, tracking his Chinese roots.
Tackling the complexity of love and relationships, “Falling” carries a similar emotive weight and romantic tone often found in mainstream C-Pop songs. Lyrically, it is set at the crossroads of Western and Eastern cultures, which brings a unique perspective to translation and interpretation. “Falling” is a song that understands both worlds and speaks two languages. While on the surface, the track talks about losing oneself in the bottom of a bottle, it seems to be a metaphor for love and relationships.
