Milo Kobayashi On the Making Of “VENT”

What was the creative process like for this particular single?

I've been trying to just go into my home studio and just make whatever I'm feeling or thinking. These songs are like diary entrees to me. I'm also just trying to focus on mainly creating and not caring if it's a "good or bad" song. It's art. I don't want my ideas and creations just sitting on my laptop collecting dust.

Were there any challenges or breakthrough moments during the songwriting process for "VENT?"

Honestly, one of the easiest flows of mine. I made the first half of the song and was just making videos about it and I kept getting a lot of haters from me just saying this but ignoring my other songs and I know it's because of how critical I am of the US right now. so that encouraged me to finish the song and I was just having fun with it at that point.

What impact do you hope "VENT" will have on your audience?

I want people to understand, we are on a sinking ship. But at least we are in it together? I dunno. I hope this brings people together, or at least people who feel like I do. I work work work work to make bills and to care for myself and life isn't supposed to be like this. We need to be in the woods, drawing on trees and eating berries.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in music?

Just Google me, this question has been answered allllotttt now. For right now, I'm just really big into movies and drawing again. I might try to make an animated MV lol.

How do you continuously grow and evolve as an artist?

Just creating. learning. You're never too old to learn. You're never too old to do anything. To any creative out there, you can literally do whatever you want. Things are so much easier and accessible now to bring your ideas to light. I used to think I needed a team, and as much as I feel like I do sometimes to help ease the workload and stress, I remember I can literally do ANYTHING.
