SIRI NEEL IS DONE OVERTHINKING -“WEST STREET” FOLLOWS THE FEELING

Danish singer-songwriter Siri Neel returns with “WEST STREET,” the second single from her forthcoming EP I Think I Said Something. “West Street” is released on 2 October 2026 – a quirky and energetic pop song about letting go of self-consciousness and stopping the overthinking.

A little more red lipstick, a little less overthinking. It’s Friday night, and you’re standing in front of the mirror with red lipstick in your hand. You feel like dressing up, going out, being a little bolder, a little more playful. But then the questions start to creep in: Am I too much? Am I too impulsive? Will people like me?

And that’s when you put on “West Street” – because what happens if you give yourself the freedom to take up space, make bigger gestures, and be confident, feminine, playful and brave?

On “West Street”, Siri Neel takes you by the hand with one message: Follow the feeling instead of holding yourself back. Stay curious. Be playful. And give yourself permission to be more than one version of yourself.

“I have a tendency to overthink and spend too much time in my head. I can also become too settled in who I think I am, and forget to stay curious about all the sides of myself I haven ’t discovered yet. I wrote ‘West Street’ as an anthem to myself – a reminder not to get stuck in the hamster wheel of everyday life, but to keep exploring, stay playful and give myself permission to be more than one version of myself.” - Siri Neel

The song is inspired by Siri Neel’s years in Brighton, UK, where she lived and studied songwriting at BIMM University, where artists including Tom Odell and James Bay began their musical journeys, and became part of the city’s creative community.

“West Street” grows out of that feeling of being surrounded by people, ideas and creativity – becoming absorbed in the moment and daring to follow your own inner compass without constantly judging yourself from the outside.

After several years in England, Siri Neel merges her Scandinavian sensitivity with unmistakable British edge. Her voice has repeatedly been referenced to Kate Bush by radio hosts and music media in both Denmark and abroad. The new single is produced by British producer Mark Flannery, known for his collaboration with Depeche Mode and Def Leppard.

The release follows a strong period for Siri Neel, who has received airplay on Danish national P4, including being named the station’s top song of the week, as well as RBB Fritz Berlin, NDR2, Radio Eins and several UK stations. She has been selected by IMPALA & YouTube as one of Europe’s 100 Artists to Watch, and performed at The Alternative Great Escape, alongside headline shows in Denmark and England.

West Street is the second single from Siri Neel’s forthcoming EP, which explores themes of identity, self-liberation and vulnerability, and the freedom to let go of what holds us back.

Siri Neel demonstrates her status as one of the most exciting new voices in the international pop landscape: bold, distinctive, emotional, and absolutely unique.
