Thain On the Making Of “Still Sick”

Punk Head: How did everything come together?

Thain: Hippy K and I met up with Audio Paradolia, who recorded, produced, and mixed the track. Also some finishing touches done by Tony Lee at Nest Records. It was totally just a spontaneous link up for everyone to get re-acquainted. It was magic!

Punk Head: How did you work with the producer or engineers to bring your vision for "Still Sick" to life?

Thain: Steven (Audio Paradolia) is great at what he does! This track has live instrumentation that will haunt you, and helps drive home the energy or vibe we’re bringing to the table here. His ability to capture and harness our vision is palpable in the track. Tony Lee definitely added some sauce as well.

Punk Head: Is there a particular message or theme you hope listeners take away from this single?

Thain: I’m still sick when I feel like it! Haha

Punk Head: Can you tell us more about you as an artist?

Thain: I’ve been writing, recording, and performing music for over 15 years. I’ve been in a rock band called ‘For the Birds’ as an emcee and vocalist for about 5 years now. My journey has taken me all over the country on a couple of tours and one-off shows. So many relationships I’ve acquired and maintained throughout my life have been thanks to music.

Punk Head: How do you continuously grow and evolve as an artist?

Thain: What really helps me continue to grow and progress as an artist is writing regularly, and staying consistently present in the scene. I’m surrounded by talented people that aren’t afraid to hold me accountable!

Punk Head: Tell me about the wildest song you’ve ever written but never published.

Thain: Probably the love song I’ve got dropping sometime soon. It’s a pretty significant pivot from my normal and I think it will surprise my listeners. Stay tuned!
